“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?” -2 Corinthians 13:5
How is your relationship with God? Do you feel the presence of God in your life on a regular basis? This Christian Walk is certainly not an easy task, but there are great rewards at the end of our journey if we purpose in our hearts to walk faithfully with God despite the circumstances that surrounds us. Though I am still learning, I treasure the relationship that I have with God through Jesus Christ. It is the most precious relationship that I have on this Earth. It is one that I will in no wise replace with any other.
My relationship with God is intimate, refreshing, and so beneficial! He is my best-est friend! 😉 He speaks to me, and constantly reminds me of His ever near presence. He comforts me when I am sad, in doubt, and worrisome. He counsels, guides, and instructs me in decision making. His Word is ever true, and He hears me when I call!
Part of my goals for this year is to have an even stronger relationship with God. With this desire, He led me to these five tips via ‘www.godlywoman.com,’ which I found to be profitable to me in my want to fortify my relationship with Him:
5 tips to Enjoy that Intimate Relationship
Tip 1 – Faith in God “Without faith it is impossible to please God.”
Tip 2 – Knowledge of the Word
You can only come to know Jesus well when you know the Jesus of the Gospels and you can only know Him not through books on Him but through reading the Bible yourself and asking the Holy Spirit to teach you.
Tip 3 – Humility The Bible says that God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.
Tip 4 – Prayer Walking in the supernatural is just not possible without an active prayer life.
Tip 5 – Obedience Trusting is having faith and obedience is doing everything that Jesus commanded us to do.
I hope these tips will help you strengthen your relationship with God this year as well.
How are you doing with your goals for the year? Remember to be specific in your approach.
Are You His? Can you bodily declare that Jesus lives in your heart and is yours?
Thank you for reading.
Have a great day!
God bless,
